What to Expect
Your First Visit at Symmetry for Health
Starting something new can feel uncertain. Our goal is to make your first visit clear, comfortable, and informative—so you know exactly what to expect and why we do what we do.
This visit is about understanding your body, not rushing into treatment.
Before Your Visit
Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive:
A Client History Form to complete prior to your visit
A short overview video explaining what we do at Symmetry and how our approach works
Completing these ahead of time allows us to focus your visit on assessment, education, and clarity—not paperwork.
What to Wear
Please dress comfortably.
Wear clothing you can move in easily
You will remove your shoes for postural measurements
You may spend time on the ground, so comfortable clothing is important
Athletic or casual wear is ideal.
Your Postural Assessment
Your visit begins with a postural assessment using AlignSmart® technology.
This assessment measures how your body aligns against gravity across three planes of motion. These measurements help us identify postural imbalances and long-term compensation patterns that often lead to pain, fatigue, or recurring issues.
During this process, you will:
Have postural photos taken
Review your alignment scores
Learn how posture relates to your symptoms
This is not a guesswork-based evaluation. The data gives us a clear and objective starting point.
Education & Understanding
A key part of your visit is education.
We will walk you through:
What your measurements mean
Why your body is under stress
How posture and long-term compensation affect pain
Our goal is for you to leave understanding why your body feels the way it does—not just where it hurts.
Your Personalized Corrective Routine
Based on your assessment, we create a personalized corrective routine specific to your alignment and how your nervous system responds to posture.
These routines are designed to help your body relearn how to support itself efficiently against gravity.
Your routine:
Targets the muscles responsible for holding posture
Uses controlled, isometric exercises
Is sequenced intentionally to support proper neurological activation and coordination
Takes approximately 15–20 minutes, performed twice per day—just like brushing your teeth
Is designed to be done at home, without equipment
You will be shown how to perform each exercise correctly and safely, with clear guidance and support.
After Your Visit
After your first visit, you will:
Have a clear understanding of your posture and alignment
Know exactly what to work on and why
Have access to the AlignSmart® app for continued education and support
Begin reinforcing correction through consistent daily practice
Progress is monitored over time through re-measurement, and your routine is adjusted as your alignment improves.

Our Goal
We want you to leave your first visit feeling:
